On Cohoes Heritage Day, Saturday, May 14, 2016, you will have an opportunity to tour this historic home located at 1 Van Schaick Avenue, Cohoes from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and see where General Schuyler turned over command of the Northern Continental Army to General Gates. Last tour begins at 2:00 p.m.
The Second Continental Army Artillery Re-enactors will fire their cannons and muskets from 10:00 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Blacksmith Steve Khoury will demonstrate 18th century blacksmithing skillsfrom 10:0 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Schuyler Society, Children of the American Revolution will provide Colonial Games from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Genealogy Workshops: Cohoes Visitor Center Remsen Street …these will look at Ancestry.com, DNA testing, “Who Do You Think You Are?” on PBS…DAR searches…and wi-fi is available for participants. Gen. Peter Gansevoort Chapter Registrars will work with the public from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
